Parting Ways with the Peak of Summer
If the earlier sunsets have not given it away, we’re in a transition! That’s right, gone are the days of eating gelato, lounging by the pool, and basking in the sun. Even though we’ve been lucky enough to plenty of warm weather, it’s time to get into an autumn state of mind.
As the clocks tick towards a new season, it means that it’s time for new routines. We have three ways to make sure you’re all prepared for fall!
Put your Best Face Forward: Facials should be a regular part of your skin care routine, but even more so at the switch of seasons. So pencil in some face time because summer can leave our skin dehydrated from all the heat. Our Spa Care Experts™ suggest that we renew our skin with exfoliation, and prepare it with nutrients for the colder days ahead. Suitable for all skin types, we recommend our ElmLine Essential Facial to remove dead skin cells and leave the skin radiant and refreshed. For more facials, you can take a look the facials currently available at our boutique location, elmpa (557 Church Street) by clicking here.
Clean out the Closet: To make space for all those warm and cozy knits, tuck your summer stuff away. Whether you slide them under your bed or store them in a spare room, we love the idea of vacuum-packing all those extra outfits that are no longer in season. Also, if you have fall items that you can part ways with, it’s a good time to donate. It’s also a great time to organize all of your make-up, reassess the shades you’re keeping and they ones you’re tucking away until next year. For tips on how to do this, check out our Instagram Live session with organizing expert Effy Terry click here.
Break a Sweat: Leaving summer behind can also mean becoming less active –fewer strolls in the park, and more curling up on the couch. But we can list many reasons why breaking a sweat should be a priority. Whether you stretch it out with some yoga at our neighbour Iam Yoga, or bust a move to YouTube workouts (Blogilates is always fun), pick something that you’ll stick with and can enjoy indoors. It’s easy to hide and hibernate as we get closer to fall, so start planning your new fitness routine early.
Whether you’ve always been a fan of the season change or still need some convincing, we bet these tips will make the transition an easier one!
